• Our Mission

  We are dedicated to celebrating rescued animals, supporting shelters, rescues and animal rights groups and to animal welfare worldwide. We seek to raise awareness within our communities and to work towards a future where all animal owners are responsible and we no longer have to make the choice to put down otherwise adoptable animals simply due to a lack of space and resources. We also strongly believe in spaying and neutering your animals to help reduce the number of homeless animals.

About ILRA

ILRA is a volunteer-run organization put together by two passionate women and their happy, fluffy, rescued mutt named Spunky (the beloved mascot). Our goal is to raise awareness about the positive impact adopting and rescuing animals has on the world. We advocate adoption and giving second chances to those in dire need of homes. Ashley is a twenty-three year old animal advocate. She graduated from Northland College with a degree in Animal Psychology and Biology and plans to pursue a career helping animals around the world. Learn More.

Nikki is a twenty-three year old web designer with a passion for animals. She is taking this opportunity to use her web design talents and help create a website in honor of rescue animals. Learn More.

Spunky is a smart five year old Husky/Shepherd/Chow mix that Ashley adopted from a pound in Ashland, WI when he was seven months old. He's a happy puppy who loves his large family.
