Fawn is a twelve year-old female in Texas. I don’t know anything else about her except that she was pulled from a kill shelter by Austin Pets Alive! and is being privately fostered. Can you help this lovely lady?

Meet Malachi

Little Malachi is a male pit bull, between 6 and 8 months old. He was found on the side of the road after having been dragged behind a vehicle until the chain around his neck broke. He lost 30-50% of the skin on his body, as well as a lot of blood. Malachi is being cared for at Greystone Pet Hospital, where the doctors have cleaned and bandaged his extensive wounds and have him on fluids, pain killers, and antibiotics. It’s still uncertain if Malachi will even make it, but you can go to Greystone’s Facebook page see a video of him and keep up on his condition.

Malachi is obviously not available for adoption at this time, but please help him and other abused animals in any way you can. Share Malachi’s story, donate to his Chip-In, volunteer at your local shelter to walk and socialize the animals there,  teach your children empathy towards others, call law-makers to demand stronger legal punishment for those who abuse animals. Every one of us must act to show that our society values the well-being of animals and will not tolerate their mistreatment.

Meet James Bond

The only information I could find on this striking kitty is that he is an adult male domestic short hair mix. But with a name like James Bond he’s sure to be a lady killer! Can you give him a home?

Meet Darwin

Darwin is an adult male guinea pig who was surrendered to the shelter because his guardian was getting older and too involved in school activities to give him the attention her deserves. Darwin seems like quite a character! According to his bio, he love fresh veggies and fruit, and squeals when he hears the refrigerator door open. He loves being outside his cage and will hang out with his people in favor of wandering off. Darwin is pretty good about getting baths, but he’s very scared of dogs, cats, and small children. Can you give this fun little guy a home?

Meet 8067, 8068, and 8069

All I know about these three dogs is that they are pit bull mixes who were picked up together and are all between 1 and 5 years old. The bottom left is female and the other two are male. Gaston County Animal Control gets a ton of pit bulls, they are very crowded, and few ever get out alive because of strict adherence to release dates.
