Shelter Sketches: Meet Kit Kat

I apologize for getting this week’s sketch up a day late. At least my house is very clean though!

Meet Kit Kat

Kit Kat is a female Manx mix, and is about nine years old. She’s had a tough life until now, but is quickly settling into the routine at her foster home. She’s learned to use a litter box and is very sweet-natured with people. Despite her age she is active and inquisitive, and loves to play with toys, but would probably do best in a home without other cats.

Kit Kat seems like a wonderful cat full of personality! She has been spayed, micro-chipped, is up-to-date on vaccines, and has tested negative for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus.

Shelter Sketches: Meet Iris

With summer coming up, many people will be traveling. If you plan on going somewhere with your pet, keep these tips in mind!

Meet Iris

Iris is a two year old female Domestic Medium Hair mix. She has absolutely dazzling eyes and a personality to match. She is very sweet with people, but doesn’t like to socialize with other cats much. Iris is spayed, up-to-date on shots, micro-chipped, and house-trained. Do you have a home for this kitty?

Shelter Sketches: Meet Zeva

I hadn’t chosen an animal for Shelter Sketches this week, but after meeting Zeva (previously Tootsie) today I had to try and help her.

Meet Zeva

I don’t know Zeva’s full story, but I do know that she was in a high kill shelter in Alabama with her pups. She had a littler of thirteen, two died at birth, and three more this past week. Today I helped transport Zeva and her remaining eight pups on one leg of their journey from Alabama to Wisconsin. They should arrive in Wisconsin tomorrow evening. Many people have been involved in saving the life of this wonderful mother and her puppies!

Zeva is a terrier mix, about two years old, and is 30 lbs., though she could stand to gain 5 or 10. She’s very calm and gentle, and would make an amazing pet! She’s up to date on shots, and seems to be housebroken. Her puppies are still nursing so she is not yet ready for adoption, but she will be soon. Her adorable puppies will all need loving homes as well. Please keep an eye on Fluffy Dog Rescue’s adoption list and consider giving Zeva or one of her puppies a loving home.

Shelter Sketches: Meet Max

This week’s sketch is our first ever 3D portrait by Char Reed!

Meet Max

Max is a young male Boxer who was surrendered to the shelter because his family didn’t have time for him. Who could give up that sweet face? He’s a typical energetic puppy who will need a great home to give him exercise and teach him manners. Max loves to cuddle the cats at his foster home and is good with other dogs, though he sometimes gets jealous of them. A fenced in yard and group obedience classes are a requirement for anyone who adopts Max. Only placements in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, or Missouri will be considered.
