365DAA Day 34: Petfinder
Over the past year, we have had the pleasure of meeting a huge amount of people who have made a big impact on the animal world. Jane Harrell of the renowned Petfinder happens to be one of those people. She got into the animal welfare world and Petfinder in an interesting way. I for one am very thankful to Toby – and, of course, Petfinder for all the amazing work they have done.

About Petfinder
Petfinder.com is an online, searchable database of animals that need permanent homes. A directory of over 13,000 animal shelters and adoption organizations across the USA, Canada and Mexico, the organization’s technology helps visitors search adoptable pets in their areas that fit their family’s individual needs and preferences. In addition, Petfinder.com also offers a wealth of information about how to select a family pet and how to raise and care for an animal. The Web site is free to use. Animal shelters and placement groups can register to join Petfinder.com online and can start entering pets the same day. Petfinder.com was named one of TIME magazine’s 50 Best Web Sites of 2008. Since it’s founding in 2006, Petfinder has facilitated over 17 million pet-adoptions.

Interesting post on PetFinder. I too is an animal lover!
PetFinder is a wonderful organization that can surely help many animals that are abandoned. People who love pets or animals should support this organization.
