365DAA Day 26: Lake Superior Paws for Love
I am so excited for this group! When Ash and I lived in Ashland, Wisconsin, Spunky (our handsome mascot), was in training for and earned his Canine Good Citizenship. This was the start to a journey that is still continuing on here in Austin – making Spunky a therapy dog. Anyway, after becoming CGC certified, we joined this awesome group called Lake Superior Paws for Love and met some amazing people at the library in the neighboring town of Washburn. Unfortunately, we moved to Tennessee shortly after and didn’t get to finish Spunky’s therapy training, but I loved the people we got to work with and I’m so happy to have gotten a shirt to support them! Thanks Cyndi for getting them in touch with us!

About Lake Superior Paws for Love
Lake Superior Paws for Love is a non-profit community based animal service organization established in 1994. Dedicated to promoting the bond between people and animals through service, therapy, and education. Lake Superior Paws for Love services the Northwest Wisconsin area. Paws for Love members and their therapy animals visit nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals, schools, community groups and others.
Lake Superior Paws for Love welcomes new members. We are often asked “do I need a therapy pet to join Paws?”. The answer is “absolutely not!”. All you need is a sincere love of pets and the desire to help. Volunteers are always needed and appreciated!
