365DAA Day 11: Austin Pets Alive!
We are on Day 11 and today we are featuring another local Austin group. This time it’s Austin Pets Alive!, a really active group here in the city that is on a mission to save all the dogs in town. They pull their dogs from local shelters and help them find homes. We volunteer at their awesome events downtown and they are really successful at getting the community together for a great cause.

About Austin Pets Alive!
Austin Pets Alive! (APA!) is a 501(c) 3 (nonprofit) organization run almost exclusively by dedicated volunteers.
We are implementing innovative and progressive programs in Austin after studying the best practices of other cities who are no-kill or are in the process of becoming no-kill.
We have created our own “road map” that uses a lot of experience from many different places as well as incorporating the unique characteristics of Austin. Austin is rich in prevention resources such as spay/neuter, compared to other cities, and we are filling the gaps in service areas that have been historically under-represented, such as high volume, high quality adoption.
