Shelter Sketches: Penny

Here’s the next Shelter Sketch – Penny – and her info, from our resident Shelter Sketcher, Chelsea.

Meet Penny

Hi, I’m Penny! My foster family jokes that I should be nicknamed Dime because I’m so small! I am definitely a little lady, and I’m about full grown so I probably won’t get any bigger. I do have a great big heart though, and I would love the chance to share it with you! I’m absolutely as sweet as can be, as well as happy, loving, and silly, not to mention completely adorable! My little tail wags almost nonstop. I love spending time with people. I’m definitely not a dog you can just leave in the backyard. I want to be where my people are! I get along with other dogs but would be just fine in a home on my own too. I’m even good with cats and I love kids! I’m a smart girl and am getting really good with the Sit command. I’m making lots of progress with my house training and crate training too. I’m pretty well behaved in my crate but I would much rather be out with you and sometimes I want to tell you about it. I’m not a big barker though, which is just another reason why I’m one of the most wonderful chihuahuas you’ll ever meet! Do you and I sound like we’re meant to be? Please fill out an application today so we can arrange to meet! I can’t wait to find my forever family! You can also see more of me and learn about me by visiting my blog! http://pennyada.blogspot.com/ On my blog you can check out this cute video of me with one of my favorite things- a rawhide! Yum! Chelsea Conlin is a freelance fantasy illustrator, but if she can help spread the word about animals in need with her skills, she’s more than happy to do so! She currently lives in Kentucky with her husband where they do what they can by driving dog rescue transports on weekends. They have two dogs of their own: a rescue greyhound named Storm and a mixed breed named Azu. You can find her at Paper Nautilus, her sketchblog, twitter, and deviantart.
