Shelter Sketches: Rick and Duke!
So here at the ILRA blog, we’re introducing a new weekly post. It is a joint effort between us and the very talented artist Chelsea Conlin. Every Saturday, we will be posting Shelter Sketches in an effort to get readers to see a different view of a shelter dog in need. All these pups will have Chelsea’s rendering of them, a bio about the pups, and where you can adopt them.
Meet Rick and Duke (again)
You may remember two certain pups that we’ve blogged about before. Rick and Duke, who were saved from death row with the help of some awesome people, are still looking for their forever home. They are now located at the Rowlett Animal Shelter in Rowlett, Texas. You can see Rick’s page here and Duke’s page here. While they are no longer on death row, they still desperately need to find someplace they belong. Although neither of their pages state that they are brothers, these two boys have been through a lot together and I know a lot of people would love to see them find a home together.

Rick and Duke
You can find more stats about these two great boys at our original Rescue Animals post and at the Rowlett site. Please take a moment to look at these wonderful pups and consider if they’d make the perfect addition to your family. Don’t forget to pass the word on and hopefully we can find these guys their forever home.

Chelsea Conlin is a freelance fantasy illustrator, but if she can help spread the word about animals in need with her skills, she’s more than happy to do so! She currently lives in Kentucky with her husband where they do what they can by driving dog rescue transports on weekends. They have two dogs of their own: a rescue greyhound named Storm and a mixed breed named Azu. You can find her at Paper Nautilus, her sketchblog, twitter, and deviantart.

This is a terrific idea! Lovely artwork, Chelsea! I look forward to seeing more!
