Thank you to all of you! Again, I'm not trying to make this other person look horrible but we were disappointed that we were being attacked simply for trying to help. It is about trying to save lives and I'm glad that most of us understand that and work together. It is like the Bark Chain, Kay! What a great way to describe it! And we've already proved that twitter really DOES save lives. I'm so glad that more and more people are seeing the power of twitter and are using it for good causes. The world will be a better place because of it!

Wow, that is horrible.
I mean like it really matters. The only thing that is hurting from this is the animals.
While I get about 1700-2000 emails a day it gets very time consuming, yet I try and reply
to each and everyone. Especially if it asking about a pet that is in danger. I never complain
and when someone offers to help I snatch them right up. :) Good volunteers are
hard to find.

However, with that aside I am surprised that you would be shot down for this. You are trying to help and that is what it is all about. Just think one of your tweets possibly and more than likely did save the life of a needy pet.

I am so sorry to hear that this happened.

I always believe that we are all in this together, saving lives getting them adopted asap. I guess some just want to control it all.

Keep up your tweets and you know you are welcome to repost all of my tweets :)

Now let's go save some lives...they are waiting patiently..ok some not so patiently lol

This is all so amazing to me. First, I love you two and appreciate all that you do.

I, like you, have websites for other purposes, but try to incorporate animal rescue and care on both of my personal sites. I just hope that someone visiting a particular site of mine for information about computers or whatever, just happens to notice the animal section and/or posts and takes an interest. It makes no money for me. I am not, like you, trying to drive business to my site through animal rescue. I want to use every resource that I have available to me to spread the word.

At first I didn't see how twitter could help anyone. Now I see how it works. If I have an animal here in Northwest Mississippi, I can tweet it. My followers can RT it to many others that aren't following me. Amazing way to get help for these beautiful creatures that need it. Reminds me of the barking chain in 100 Dalmations. Instead of barking, does that mean we are (in twitter speak) twarking ::smile:: To date, I tend to RT others since I am learning how to find this information myself.

I can't imagine why anyone would even care if you gave them credit for the original tweet. Its not a popularity contest, its a drive to save animals.

Keep spreading the word and please keep asking for help when you need it. I am grateful that you posted this because I do intent to get deeper into spreading the word about rescues, shelters and other needs for animals via the internet since I have access to it, and millions use it. I may run into problems like this in the future, so thanks for the heads up on people and their quirky ways and attitudes.

Kay

Ps. Who in the hell can go through 600 emails a day and be effective? Sheesh, let someone help you if you are that devoted to scanning and gleaning information. Seems that they would be grateful that someone is helping to spread the information that they've spent so much time gathering.

I'm sorry you have to deal with this. It's too bad we all can't make animals the main focus. ;^)

The saddest part about this is that we are no longer allowed to RT this person, but if we try and link to an Urgent list that she did first to help save these animals, she will again accuse us of stealing her tweets. So no matter what, her selfishness and stubborness is potentially condemning innocent animals to death because she does not want a twitter account with 1900 followers to retweet her. Many of the times, her tweets are too long to be retweeted word for word, which makes it impossible to not reword something (not to mention I find many of her tweets to be demonizing against groups or shelters, which is unfair, and calling kill-shelters death camps is somewhat degrading of the Jews and those who actually knew what death camps were). This whole situation is frustrating, especially because she has decided to also accuse us of lies, deception, and criminal activity all because of her arrogance and hatred toward another animal group. She holds a lot of anger towards the world and it is unfortunate that she lets it control her so much.

"Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one getting burned." - the Lord Buddha.

We will continue to persevere despite her anger towards us. We know the good we do and we will continue to do it.
